Looks like another fabulous volcano to see on our open ended world tour! We travel slow and are in Spain now, so it will be a while, but looks like a fabulous place to be so we will eventually get there, probably after our long stays in Africa and South America.

Thanks for your comment on twitpics about our photo on Photo Fridays! Nice to meet you!

I thought Tungurahua in Ecuador was pretty special, but now I'm realising there are active volcanoes all over South America.

There are tons of them. In Guatemala you can actually hike up to the top of an active one. it's really creepy, but incredible at the same time. It feels like you're in space. This one is great because you don't have to hike too far.

I'm not sure I'd want to be so close to an active volcano

Great shots, glad it was a good trip for everyone :)

Poas was one of my favorite places to visit, too. It was easy to get to and always guaranteed something interesting to see.

I know, that's why I love Poas, it's one of those safe but amazing places to see in Costa Rica.

I've never seen an actual volcano, but it's my goal one day. That and to visit Machu Pichu. But I'll probably never have enough dough to follow through, so I'll just live through my bloggy friends.

No worries, we'll take you on a virtual trip here for sure!

Looks like a great place to visit. I think I've seen it featured on a Public Broadcast documentary.

Oh these photos are wonderful. That volcano is amazing!

    Your son is adorable :)

Wow! Unlike your son, I think the volcano is more hot than your brother and his wife - even if they look pretty hot together too :-)

Must be a thrill to stand there... *sigh*
